Blues Train Keeps On Rolling
The Bedford Atom B Blues continued their winning ways taking
Cole
Harbour
7-3 for their 10th win in their last 11 games played. Aside from a few sub-par shifts where the Blues looked to have heavy legs, usually immediately after they scored a goal, the team made some great passes, smart decisions with the puck, and another tenacious fore checking game to get the win.
Early in the season it was Bedford that was having trouble getting the puck out of their own zone and giving up weak goals, but now with a vastly improved fore checking game and stronger defensive play on the point, the Blues are able to force multiple turnovers in the offensive end and control the puck for many more chances on goal. Also stronger positioning in the attack triangle has allowed for additional chances off of rebounds in front of the net.
A number of
Bedford
players had multi-point games tonight including Logan Weatherbie picking up two goals and an assist; Cody Stone with a goal and three assists; Keegan Gauthier with a goal and an assist; Declan Murphy added three goals; Colton Pare with a goal and an assist; and Aiden Chisholm rounded out the point getters with an assist.
Bedford
faces a tough challenge tomorrow night as they take on the Dartmouth Whalers on the road. The Whalers are in first place overall in the league but dropped one to the Blues in their last meeting prior to Christmas.
Bedford
will have to bring their “A” game to stop the Whalers who will be out for revenge.
