Hot Crossover Buns
It took the whole first period for both teams to get rolling, but the final two ended up being a barn burner. At the final buzzer it was the Thunder defeating the Huskies 6-3. The Thunder poured in four goals before the Huskies got on the board and for the rest of the way the pesky Huskies tried to chip away. The Thunder capitalized on some undisciplined penalties and never looked back.
This was a good tune-up for the Day of Champions game against the Hawks. The Thunder will need to be responsible in their own end and keep up the pressure on the powerplay.
